If men could menstruate . . .

A quote by the ever famous Gloria Steinem. Enjoy:
If men could menstruate ... clearly, menstruation would become an enviable, boast-worthy, masculine event: Men would brag about how long and how much.... Sanitary supplies would be federally funded and free. Of course, some men would still pay for the prestige of such commercial brands as Paul Newman Tampons, Muhammed Ali's Rope-a-Dope Pads, John Wayne Maxi Pads, and Joe Namath Jock Shields—"For Those Light Bachelor Days."
Ain't it just so true? Now, mind you, this was written during the early 1930's, a time when men were still very much dominant in professional career fields. Ms. Steinem, a U.S. feminist writer and editor, spoke against the domination of men here by basically mocking them and their ways and how they make everything between them a contest powered by their self-made, overinflated male ego, but when it's present in females, they regard it either with disgust or don't acknowledge it at all. Such was the case, and so Steinem made the best of the advantages she had, which were, actually, quite a few, in pointing out men's masculine flaws.

It's raining here in upper New York which is why I'm posting this funny little rhyme taken from a source of which I forgot the name of.

It's raining, it's pouring
The old man is snoring
He went to bed
and hit his head
and couldn't get up in the morning

Recipe for a perfect disaster: Prom, a rose and a head-over-heels gorgeous boy (with moi)

Hi peeps! I'd love to stay and chat with y'all but I can't because I'm running short on time for HW. As usual, always the procrastinator. So.......

Did you guys love my title? Of course you did. I had three reasons for coming up with such a title. 1) It's absolutely bloody brilliant. 2) It's something that really happened to me, and finally 3) It's mysterious-sounding (kinda) and the very least it'll keep you guys wondering what the heck I'm talking about, if nothing else.

Riiiiight?

Let me answer that: Right.

So, I'll just leave you guys waiting in suspense until I have the time to post this entire thing and/or when I'm not feeling lazy typing out all these words. Until then, ciao!

OMG I'M DONE WITH SATs!!!!!

My gosh, after taking an AP Exam and the SATs for the second time, school is now completely worthless. Our teachers seem to be giving us work just for the heck of it so that they have some grades to put in for the fourth (and last!) quarter before summer starts. OMIGOD i can't believe summer vacay's almost here and that I'm gonna be a senior next year!!

Eep! Soooooo excited.

I would stay and chat a little more with you nice people, but I gotta a test to study for tomorrow (just a class test but a test nevertheless) and homework to finish) so I'll come back and write my awesome prom story. I got asked to prom by this  insanely adorable guy - like Chace Crawford adorable - who also happens to be one of my best guy friends (I know, convenient, isn't it? Wink, wink) and the whole story of how I turned him down and it ended up becoming this entire fiasco until the moment he finally apologized. So yeah. I'll keep you guys in suspense for now.

Tootle-loo!

Hello again

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while, but hey, I'm a junior in high school and it's May. I was busy. But I'm taking five minutes off my time studying for the SAT's (tomorrow) to say that I AM DONE WITH MY AP US HISTORY EXAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YA-HOO!!!!!!!!!!

And I'm sure every other junior out there who blogs like moi will tell you how glad they are that they're finally done. It wasn't bad. In fact, having taken the SAT's once already, if I compare it to the SAT's it was actually EASIER, though it most likely - no, definitely - has something to do with the fact that I've been studying for it all this week AND that I got up at four in the morning today to cram an extra, last-minute review session, which I might say for history, always works, no matter what you anti-procrastinators out there say about it.

And now, SAT's tomorrow. Back to studying. I will return blogging shortly after my exams are over, so please bear with me, my meager group of followers, if any of you out there hasn't already become bored with me yet. Tootle-loo! :D

A note of apology

YES. SPRING BREAK IS FINALLY HERE, BABY.

Okay, not it's not. It's a disgrace to call these two measly little days 'spring break'. See this post if you want to read about my entire angry rant about our school and how they cut three days from break so now it's only a four-day weekend.

But that's not what I wanted to talk about. I actually wanted to apologize to all my followers (and anyone else who wanted to comment on my posts) but couldn't due to a restriction in the blog settings. I swear I didn't do it on purpose; when I checked the link under allowing comments I checked, "only members of this blog" and I thought that meant followers. But unfortunately it didn't, it only meant the blog author(s) which is probably why I haven't got any other comments on my blog since like forever. Or maybe you guys are just bored of me. I do hope that's not it, though, because I love it when you comment and I can respond back.

The commenting option is now back in order and working again for everyone out there to comment on my posts.

Happy reading and commenting, and again, I'm sorry for the mistake. :D

Yet another writing-related question

I know, I'm asking those a lot lately. Well technically, I've only just asked one other one so far, so it still can't be considered a lot.

Anyway, here's my question to all the story-writers out there:

Which point of view do you prefer writing from and why? Like I said before, please answer honestly, because I am currently going through a rough patch trying to write my story and I need some advice. So, what do you guys think?

Eeshie, I'm asking this to you specifically, though anyone else is obviously welcome to answer.

On an additional note, someone who commented on this post was confused on what I meant by point of view so I'll just clear it up for you guys. By point of view I meant like first person, third person limited and third person omniscient. Click on those links if you're unsure of what the difference between the two is, and please comment back. Thanks!
