If men could menstruate . . .

A quote by the ever famous Gloria Steinem. Enjoy: 

If men could menstruate ... clearly, menstruation would become an enviable, boast-worthy, masculine event: Men would brag about how long and how much.... Sanitary supplies would be federally funded and free. Of course, some men would still pay for the prestige of such commercial brands as Paul Newman Tampons, Muhammed Ali's Rope-a-Dope Pads, John Wayne Maxi Pads, and Joe Namath Jock Shields—"For Those Light Bachelor Days."

Ain't it just so true? Now, mind you, this was written during the early 1930's, a time when men were still very much dominant in professional career fields. Ms. Steinem, a U.S. feminist writer and editor, spoke against the domination of men here by basically mocking them and their ways and how they make everything between them a contest powered by their self-made, overinflated male ego, but when it's present in females, they regard it either with disgust or don't acknowledge it at all. Such was the case, and so Steinem made the best of the advantages she had, which were, actually, quite a few, in pointing out men's masculine flaws.
